Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups White Lily flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the White Lily flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
Baking
  1. Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
