- Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them into uniform cubes, about 1-inch thick.

- Drain the sweet potatoes in a colander and let them sit for a few minutes to dry out slightly.
- Transfer the drained sweet potatoes to a mixing bowl and mash until smooth and creamy, adding butter or olive oil.
- Stir in your favorite seasonings—salt, pepper, cinnamon, or maple syrup. Taste and adjust as needed.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the mashed sweet potatoes into a greased baking dish and bake for about 25-30 minutes.
