Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the crushed pineapple evenly along the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  5. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  6. Do not stir; simply spread the ingredients as evenly as possible.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
