Method
Prepare the Ribs
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all the dry rub ingredients and mix well.
- Rub the mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
Bake the Ribs
- Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
Glaze and Finish
- Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil.
- Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and return to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes.
- For a caramelized finish, broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
