Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine all the dry rub ingredients and mix well.
  4. Rub the mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
Bake the Ribs
  1. Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
Glaze and Finish
  1. Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil.
  2. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and return to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes.
  3. For a caramelized finish, broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

Notes
