Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti
Chicken
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts sliced into strips
Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon juice and zest
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Chicken
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced chicken breasts. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add lemon juice, lemon zest, and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
Combine
  1. Add the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Serve
  1. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated parmesan cheese.
