Ingredients
  

Chicken Thighs
  • 4 pieces bone-in chicken thighs skin-on or skinless
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
Liquid
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for sautéing

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Sauté
  1. Set the Instant Pot to 'Sauté' mode and add olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken thighs skin-side down and brown for about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Flip the chicken thighs and brown the other side for another 4-5 minutes.
Pressure Cook
  1. Remove the chicken thighs and set aside. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pot to deglaze.
  2. Return the chicken thighs to the pot, close the lid, and set to 'Pressure Cook' for 10 minutes.
Release and Serve
  1. Once cooking is complete, allow for a natural release for 5 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.
  2. Serve the chicken thighs with the cooking liquid spooned over the top.

Notes
