Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe avocados halved and pitted
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cilantro chopped, optional
  • 1 pinch black pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth or to your desired consistency.
  3. Add the diced tomato, chopped red onion, minced garlic, lime juice, salt, cilantro (if using), and black pepper to the bowl.
  4. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos.

Notes
