Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 cup bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup carrots shredded
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
Wraps
  • 1 head butter lettuce leaves separated
Toppings
  • 1/4 cup green onions sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup peanuts chopped, optional

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, bell pepper, and carrots. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.
Assemble the Wraps
  1. Spoon the beef mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf.
  2. Top with sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, and peanuts if desired.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy wraps!
