Method
Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then add your favorite pasta. Cook until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
Sauté the Beef
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil and brown 1 pound of ground beef. Cook until it's no longer pink, breaking it up with a spatula—this should take about 5-7 minutes.
Add Aromatics
- Toss in minced garlic and diced onion to the beef. Sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onions are translucent and fragrant.
Mix the Sauce
- Stir in your favorite marinara sauce or diced tomatoes into the skillet. Let it simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
Combine Ingredients
- Gently fold the cooked pasta into the beef and sauce mixture in the skillet. Mix until every piece is coated evenly with that delicious sauce—about 2 minutes should do!
Add Cheese
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top of your pasta dish. Cover with a lid and let it cook on low for another 5 minutes until the cheese is melty and bubbly.
Garnish
- Optional: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for a pop of color and freshness!
