Ingredients
  

Rice
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice rinsed
  • 2 cups water
Flavorings
  • 3 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Cooking the Rice
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
Preparing the Garlic Butter
  1. In a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  2. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat.
Combining
  1. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and pour the garlic butter mixture over the rice.
  2. Gently toss to combine, then stir in the chopped parsley. Serve warm.
