Baking the Cupcakes
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter until smooth, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
