Ingredients
  

Pork
  • 3 pounds pork shoulder trimmed and cut into large chunks
Spices
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Liquid
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
Optional Toppings
  • chopped cilantro
  • diced onions
  • sliced radishes
  • lime wedges

Method
 

Prepare the Pork
  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork chunks.
Cook in Crockpot
  1. Place the seasoned pork in the crockpot.
  2. Pour the orange juice, lime juice, and chicken broth over the pork.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Shred and Serve
  1. Remove the pork from the crockpot and shred it using two forks.
  2. Return the shredded pork to the crockpot and mix it with the juices.
  3. Serve with your choice of tortillas and toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, broil the shredded pork for a few minutes after cooking to get crispy edges.
